China population without abortion.

The Chinese authorities have implemented since the 70’s a strict 1child per family rule,

due to this policy,

the actual population is 1.3 billion,

but there have been 330 million abortion case between 1971 and 2010.

A lot of girls are aborted in favor of boys, which created a slight dis-proportionality.

below is the Chinese population growth rate which decreased since the 1970’s

china population growth

china population growth

we can say the growth rate was at 2.5%

in 1971, China population was : 840028 000

If there weren’t a 1 child policy, Population would be:

in 1972 it would be : 861028 000

1973:  882554 000

1974:  904618 000

1975:  927233 000

1976: 950414 000

1977: 974174 000

1980: 1049079 000

1985: 1186937 000

1990:  134 2910 000 (the actual number of today’s population would have been reached 20 years ago)

1995: 151 9380 000

2000: 171 9039 000

2005: 1944935 000

2010: 220 0515 000

2012: 231 1917 000 ( estimated population : 2 billion 300 million)

If China have not limited the number of kids per family, it would have 1 billion more Chinese now, that means 1 billion more to feed, find work for, that would have put enormous pressure on the government due to limited resources.

Chinese would have represented by themselves 1/4 of the entire population (would have been 8 billions instead of 7 billions).

PS: i didn’t double-check the above calculation, i would suggest that you verify them before using them as a source.
